In the first of two webinars exploring China's E-Commerce Frenzy, Asia Supply Chain expert Mark Millar explores the opportunities for UK businesses in China.
Nowhere is the impact of online shopping greater than in mainland China, where, this year, more than 400 million digital consumers are engaged in an e-commerce frenzy.
This flood of online retail sales is set to generate more than USD 900 billion of sales this year (some 44% of global e-commerce), a figure that already represents 16% of China’s total retail sales and will generate over 20 billion express delivery shipments during 2016.
Thanks to today’s connected and borderless digital world, 20% of these online consumers are already buying from e-commerce vendors outside of China, fuelling the cross-border e-commerce boom in categories such as luxury, apparel and healthcare products.
To learn more about these exciting market trends and the resulting business opportunities for UK companies, join our information-packed, two-part webinar series. Both webinars will be presented by Mark Millar, author of Global Supply Chain Ecosystems, a renowned authority on emerging markets in Asia and the organiser of the UK China E-Commerce & Logistics Mission to Shenzhen and Hong Kong in October 2016.
