The Students Table

A new SCLP initiative “The Students Table” featured senior industry executives sharing insights and advice in two roundtable sessions with masters students from Hong Kong Polytechnic University; our thanks to industry leaders Tim Smith, Tom Forrer, Barry Elliott and Jonathan Beard for your participation; the discussions were evidently enjoyed by all!

Thank You Mark - the Student’s Table idea was really nice - everyone from the Student Community liked the event. For us students, it is very difficult to get a chance to interact with such experienced industry executives; at your SCLP Mixer, we got the chance to ask questions, discuss issues and express our thoughts. I will encourage more students to join SCLP events in future.

Guest Feedback

Mark, thank you for putting together another great SCLP networking event. It was particularly interesting to hear and ask questions about a major news topic - the new Hong Kong Seaport Alliance - direct and unfiltered, from a principal actor and leading figure in the industry.
— Jeff Bent, Managing Director, Worldwide Cruise Terminals

Thanks Mark. Really enjoyed the event last night and the discussion on the HK Port Alliance. Peter is an excellent and knowledgeable speaker and it was great to hear details about a deal which is critical for our industry in Hong Kong. A very informative and enjoyable evening.

Information sharing is so important for us since the supply chain is such a long flow that involves so many inter-connecting parties. And SCLP provides an efficient platform for professionals in the supply chain to share the information and get updates of what’s going on in the industry and in other connecting parties. A great opportunity to learn!
— Emily Han, Assistant Material Manager, Hilti Hong Kong
